Hi, I’m Eleanor Yearwood. I’ve been working as an executive coach and team facilitator for over 16 years with some very large and some quite small independent business here in the UK, in Europe and in the USA.
Prior to training as a business coach, I was a manager in the hospitality industry for seventeen years, so I know first hand the frustration of not having all the skills needed to do a great job. You survive and do your best, but when I look back I know that I could have been a better leader if only I had invested more time in my own development.
I really believe that people are trying to do their best with the knowledge and skills that they have but my wealth of experience has shown me that lots of manages and leaders are struggling to manage, motivate, lead and inspire their teams.
One of the best parts of my job is that I get invited to help people develop themselves. If it is appropriate, I may suggest using one of the psychometric models that I’m qualified to administer such as Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) or Strengthscope. These tools are used extensively throughout the world in all sorts of businesses and are extremely useful for those people who want to grow their understanding of themselves and other people.
